Mumbai girl Freida Pinto’s 6 coolest outfits
She’s everywhere and continues to be the toast of multiple towns. Ever since Slumdog Millionaire reached Oscar glory, Freida Pinto hasn’t looked back. An out-and-out Mumbai girl at heart (British-American accent notwithstanding), Freida is more known among A-list circles for her fashion choices rather than her acting chops. And with a bangin’ body, sultry looks, and Dev Patel as former eye candy, we’re not surprised she features on many a fashionista’s envy list. As for us, we love how this girl from aamchi Mumbai has gone on to achieve global fame. As for her fashion choices, we give her a two thumbs up. Not convinced? Check out our pick of 6 of Freida Pinto’s coolest outfits that we’d given an arm and leg to get.
Knocking it out of the park at the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival
Freida looked absolutely ravishing in this feathered Michael Kors gown which she wore on the red carpet of the 67th Cannes Film Festival. The pale pink colour perfectly complemented her dusky skin tone and maroon lipstick and nail paint gave it the oomph it needed to stand out. Add to it the soft curls and we were smitten. Will you marry me, Freida?
All that fabulous print when in France
We all know the golden rule of print on print – too much and you end up looking like a clown. But this is Freida, so we knew that that wouldn’t happen. She effortlessly pairs the Ella Moss floral printed pants with a matching jacket and offsets all that print with a basic white tee and black Ferragamo ballerinas. Those sunglasses only add to the chic look. Bravo, Freida!
Glamming it up in Tokyo
Freida attended the launch of the Bally store in Tokyo wearing head-to-toe Bally. And what a fab look that was – a ruffled fuchsia dress worn with a long white coat and white chunky sandals. While some might disagree on the choice of sandals, we think they were A-ok.
Keeping it classy at the Film Independent Spirit Awards
This year’s Film Independent Spirit Awards saw Freida wearing an elegant ice-blue Bibhu Mohapatra dress, which featured a floral panel and black bustier. The yellow graphic Ferragamo pumps offset the dress beautifully and we loved that Freida kept the makeup minimal to let the outfit do the talking.
Going Indian in Delhi
No, Freida didn’t go for an Indian outfit at the Samsung S5 launch – rather she took Mumbai designer Nishka Lulla’s separates and paired them with her Roger Vivier pumps and Manish Arora necklace. We love how she kept it local here – Freida looked stunning in the green pencil skirt and crop top. Adding an edgy element to the outfit were the shoes and necklace. Isn’t she a beauty?
Doing casual chic in Jersey City
One of our favourite looks on the lovely actor, Freida was styled here by Mumbai stylist Tanya Ghavri – and what a fab look this was. The top-to-toe Michael Kors outfit worked wonders on Freida. We loved the juxtaposition of the tan with that green. And those cat-eye sunglasses – oh my!
