Dhruv Sangari is a renowned music performer in India, trained and also given guidance by the legendary maestro late Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khansaheb. He is part of the “Rooh” ensemble based in New Delhi, India. The troupe shall be paying tribute to the late maestro by performing the timeless poetic works of the great master, which have been contemporarized, used in films, and lauded world over by fans. The message of love and peace transcends genres and languages!
I first heard Naama play at a college festival audition back in 2009. I recall the text I sent to a fellow musician friend, “Joe, we’re auditioning for the band event this year. I don’t know who’ll play bass with us, but I’ve found us a drummer.”
