Three Indian female musicians are coming together to present a night featuring their individual music, voice, inspirations and opinions on the growing surface of music, art, and culture in India. As an attempt to raise the bar and start a conversation for the storytellers here in India – they will be performing their respective original music in a environment curated with their own hands and heart. With a mission to spread this event and initiative to three cities – a kick off launch show in Mumbai, Bangalore, and ending the mini tour in Pune on Women’s Day March 8th.

VASUDA SHARMA, is a young, vivacious songwriter-musician from India, who first shot to fame when selected to be a part of the band Aasma, who were declared India’s official pop stars by Channel-V, a top entertainment and TV channel in India in 2003. She went on to achieve great fame with Aasma, who released two albums, namely Aasma and Aasma Infinite. She later started her journey as an independent musician, quickly gaining recognition for her blend of Indian and western influences. Vasuda is the only artist in India to have perfected the Loop Station technique – a rather innovative style of performance that involves composing and recording live soundtracks comprising of vocals and instruments.
PULPY SHILPY is the electronic avatar of singer/ songwriter Gowri Jayakumar. With lyrical storytelling as the core, she builds layers with unique samples, loops and vocoder harmonies, and the guitar. Her set “Nothing is a good thing” has songs like Homegrown Hero, Sacred Vagrant and Middleman, all portrayed by the same protagonist – a lone, anxiety-prone escapist.
India born, California raised folk jazz fusion songstress, ZOYA, has been praised by the likes of The Huffington Post, Wondering Sound, Rolling Stone India, MTV Indies, and more for her innovative sound intertwining folk singer-songwriter music and the inescapable allure of the North Indian tradition through her entrancing vocal style, coupled with intense, stirring harmonies, and eclectic instrumentation. As a Music Business graduate from world renowned Berklee College of Music, Zoya continues to act a a pioneer in the global music industry while following her true passion as a touring singer-songwriter. She has toured and opened for the likes of Kawehi, Storyman, Ingrid Michaelson, Ryan Scott and more.
