the wife and the mistress.
Amrita Pritam, the writer of the story takes us into
that moment when the two meet.
Amrita Pritam says she wrote Shah Ki Kanjari based on
an incident she witnessed years ago in Lahore.
Shah-ni has invited her husband’s mistress to her
house today. It’s her son’s wedding
day. Guests murmur with the anticipation of juicy
gossip. Shah-ni’s dignity is at stake and in walks Neelam,
the mistress, dressed in jade.
Akriti Singh has acted extensively on stage in plays like Ilhaam, Laal Pencil, Bade Miyan Deewane, Bawla, Bali aur Shambu, Arey O’Henry. She has worked in television serials like Mere Apne, Mrs and Mr Sharma Allahabad wale, Mile Jab Hum Tum and many others.
