All around us we see images of the ideal man and the ideal woman that oppress those of us who stray from the normThe piece questions and transforms the images of hyper-masculinity and hyper-femininity that are shoved down our throats through Bollywood, advertisements, and our own families- in order to subvert our notions of masculinity and question our prejudices and desires in a playful and engaging manner
VIKRANT DHOTE (performer) has recently finished his first year at the London International School of Performing Arts. He has performed as part of Keep Calm and #ashtag (2015), mentored by Sophia Stepf (Flinntheater, Berlin), Confluencias (2014) , an international theatre project devised and performed in France (2014); Macbeth (2013) directed by John Britton in New Delhi, and Equus (2010-11) He is also the co-founder (along with Neha Bhat) of Caught in the Act, a performance collective that aims to make queer theatre visible and accessible across India. He is currently performing in 07/07/07 directed by Faezeh Jalali.
GURLEEN JUDGE (director) is a light designer, drama facilitator and a director who has been working in the theatre for the last 6 years. She has designed lights for plays such as Postcards from Bardoli, The Boy Who Stopped Smiling, Peele Scooter Wala Admi among others. She is currently also directing Ramu Ramanathan’s new play Ambu and Rajalakshmi.
