An evening devoted to the grand vehicle of Shiva- Nandi interpreted through the classical dance form Odissi by Rahul Acharya. Rahul is treasured for his mastery over the technical aspects of Odissi and his display of sublime emotions. His rendition of Odissi has been inspired by the Late Guru Debaprasad Das and his teacher, Guru Durga Charan Ranbir. Rahul would be portraying the stories of the mount of Lord Shiva, Nandi. Nandi is a name of the bull which serves as the mount of the Lord Shiva and gatekeeper of Shiva and Parvati. Nandi is one of Shiva’s chief attendants and occasionally is depicted in sculpture as a bull-headed dwarf figure.
