Foundations of Mindfulness
The workshop will consist of meditative processes from the traditions of yoga and vipassana designed to cultivate mindfulness of the body, mind and breath.
Participants will learn and practice techniques to release stored tension, focus the mind, deal with physical pain in a holistic way and understand habitual response patterns. Applications of mindfulness to daily situations would also be addressed.
Music in the form of percussive rhythms will also be used in the processes.
Keshav has been trained in Satipatthana Vipassana (insight meditation through mindfulness) in the lineage of Mahasi Sayadaw of Burma under Patrick Kearney. He is also a certified yoga instructor from the Yoga Institute, Santacruz.
He teaches mindfulness to individuals and groups and focuses on how techniques of mindfulness can be used to enrich lives.
