Desmond Lazaro in conversation with Rasna Bhushan
Trained under one of the few living experts on Miniature Indian paintings and using paper made by the last living craftsman of Sanganeer paper, artist Desmond Lazaro’s practice of honouring traditions extends across his materials, paints and the creative process. Desmond also explores the morphing global context through the re-telling of family histories based on letters, documents, photographs and personal memory.
Join Desmond Lazaro in conversation with art critic and historian, Rasna Bhushan, exploring the stories that inform this body of work and through them explore tropes of rootedness, home, migration and tradition in an exceedingly transient world.
