Tickets available on Book My Show with 30% off for early birds.

Hello from the other side of the television. You’ve seen the breaking news flashes, the daily debates and the cricket matches, but what goes on behind the scenes? And is there a role for you in the TV studio?

Students contemplating a career in television will get a peek into this world through personalities from both sides of the camera, who will talk about how TV shows are made, on-field reporting, the breaking news life, writing scripts, starting out in TV, skills required in the studio, and roles behind the camera. A small audience will offer the opportunity to personally interact and network with the speakers.

Sidharth Lodha is a Producer at Star Sports. He runs the show from behind the camera, churning out cricket programmes such as Cheeky Singles, Match Point, Game Plan and Cricket Countdown. Apart from planning shoots, writing and editing scripts, doing voice-overs and mimicry, Sidharth also manages to fit in the occasional game of cricket with some famous players in the office corridor.

Ritu Singh is a Principal Correspondent with business news channel CNBC-TV18. She’s out on the field every day tracking the world of banking and finance, jostling with other reporters for an exclusive byte before tidying up to tell her story on camera. Ritu has interviewed industry leaders such as Kumar Mangalam Birla, Uday Kotak and State Bank of India head Arundhati Bhattarcharya. Not too long ago, she sat down for a chat with the man in the running to be the next US president.
