Indian music centers around well-structured melodic and rhythmic compositions known as bandish. It represents a central idea or base upon which the edifice of a performance is sculpted and realised. The three-day festival will showcase some of the most treasured works of the great composers, presented by eminent artistes.

With a robust expression and style that straddles Kirana and Gwalior gharana, Venkatesh Kumar will present some evergreen compositions of Na’mat Khan (Sadarang) and Adarang, whose works are sung across all gharanas.

Jnan Prakash Ghosh was one of the most prolific composers whose works ranged from classical and light music to modern, orchestral and choral music.As his disciple and a torchbearer of Patialagharana, Ajoy Chakrabarty will present some immortal compositions attributed to Jnan Prakash Ghosh.

Mirza Ghalib, Mir Taqi Mir, Ahmad Faraz, Momin and Faiz Ahmed Faiz are amongst the most revered poets of Indian subcontinent, whose works are regarded as seminal to the development of Urdu poetry.
Recognised as one of the most versatile artiste today, Hariharan will present ghazals penned by Mirza Ghalib and Mir Taki Mir.

Parthiv Gohil

During the past century, celebrated music directors like Roshan, Shankar-JaikishanandS. D. Burman composed some iconic compositions for Hindi films. Parthiv Gohil will present a bouquet of unforgettable raga-based songs of these composers.
